Applause

a choreographic proposal

Gather with a group of people at the certain point and time. Start walking together as a group. When one of you sees something that is beautiful, the person starts applauding to that something. Others join this person with clapping and try to find out what exactly this person is clapping and applauding to. The person that initiated the clapping does not need to show or explain what this person is applauding to. When clapping calms down, continue walking together as a group until someone sees something beautiful and starts applauding.

You may define the end point of the choreographic proposal before it starts, either in time (it will last one hour) or in place (we will end up at the certain place) or both.

All terms and notions from the above choreographic proposal are up for each one to understand in his/her/their own right. The proposal for example says “start walking as a group”. Each one is proposed to walk with the group as one understands the idea of a group. Further we propose not to discuss these understanding and rather enact them. They are already present in our bodies anyway. Let different understandings communicate through you.
